Looking at hats together over Zoom or in-person, to narrow down your favourites usually takes about a half hour. Contact us to establish a mutually agreeable time for a Zoom or in-person consultation. Send us an email message so we can, in turn, send you a link if connecting through Zoom is your choice. Hat Sizing

How to Measure Your Head for a Lillie & Cohoe Hat

The old adage, “measure twice and cut once,” applies here. You do the measuring and we do the cutting. Fitting a hat is a personal process: the fit needs to suit your hairstyle, how you like to wear your hat—pulled down low over the forehead or sitting up a bit more—and in what conditions, windy or otherwise. Take all this into account when you measure your head.

Use tailor’s tape, a flat cloth or plastic measuring tape to measure the circumference of your noggin, just above your ears. In lieu of tape, you can substitute a piece of string or a ribbon. Don’t pull the string or tape too tight and get someone else to do the measuring if possible. Measure the length of string against a ruler afterward.

If you are doing the measuring yourself, look in the mirror and take several measurements to ensure accuracy. It’s best not to use your other hats for size, as they may have a different size guide than ours. See the charts below for general guidelines.

Shipping Provider:
  • We ship all orders via Canada Post with Tracking. After your order is complete an email will be sent to you from Canada Post with your tracking information. Please check your junk folder if you do not receive this email.
Processing Times:
  • Current Season Hats are Made To Order, as we do not carry a regular inventory. We do our absolute best to have your order cut, sewn & shipped within 1 week from placement. All Sale or Off-Season Hats are In Stock items and Ship ASAP.
  • Due to reduced capacity, our processing time of in-stock orders is 5-7 business days.
  • Specially ordered items are processed within 2 weeks.
Standard Shipping Times:
  • Standard Service Delivery: In-stock items should arrive 7-10 business days after your order is shipped.
Standard Shipping Costs in Canada:
  • Free Shipping in Canada for Orders over $150.00
  • Standard Shipping Flat Fee $25.00 (anywhere in Canada) on Orders less than $150
  • Shipping Times vary according to final destinations.
  • Shipping is not refundable. You are responsible for shipping costs for all exchanges or returns.
  • Custom orders are not refundable.
International Shipping:
  • Lillie & Cohoe ships worldwide.
  • For the U.S.: Free shipping to the U.S. for Orders over $150
  • On Orders under $150, we charge a flat rate of $25 USD per order for Standard Delivery including the tracking number.
  • Rest of the World: If your Country is not showing a Flat Rate in the Shipping Calculator, Please contact us for shipping quote prior to ordering.
  • Shipping is not refundable. You are responsible for shipping costs for all exchanges or returns.
  • Custom orders are not refundable.
How Processing and Shipping Works on Our End:
  • Once we receive your order, we send you an email confirmation.
  • Once we ship your order, you will receive a second email from Canada Post with your tracking number. If this doesn’t arrive please check your “junk” folder, if you still haven’t received it contact us at hats@lillieandcohoe.com and we will rectify the problem.
  • Current Season Hats are Made To Order, as we do not carry a regular inventory. We do our absolute best to have your order cut, sewn & shipped within 1 week from placement. All Sale or Off-Season Hats are In Stock items and Ship ASAP.
  • We ship on Tuesdays to Fridays, excluding holidays. While we will do all we can to ensure your order is delivered on time, Lillie & Cohoe cannot be held responsible for conditions beyond our control such as severe weather, service interruptions, etc.
When will my order arrive? **
  • We do our best to put together your order within 2-3 business days of receipt and shipped within 7 business days, unless otherwise advised. If we do not have any of that style in stock, it may take up to 2 weeks to cut and stitch the item. We will advise at the time of ordering if this is the case. Shipping times vary according to final destination.
RUSH ORDERS


Returns

Easy-to-follow instructions for returns and exchanges will be included in your shipment. Any refunds will be issued in the same tender as the purchase. Please note, processing of online returns may take up to 5 business days. Depending on your credit card company, the credit should appear on your statement within 2 billing cycles.

We ask that you call or email with concerns before returning an item. We can sometimes solve a fit problem without a return shipment.

Returns: Shipping is not refundable. The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs for all refunds.

Exchanges: Shipping is not refundable. The customer is responsible for the shipping costs to send the item(s) back to us.  Lillie & Cohoe will pay the shipping cost to send back the exchanged item(s) to the customer. One exchange per item.

Christmas Order Exchanges/Returns: All orders placed from November 20th through to December 22nd will be eligible for our Extended Return Window of January 31st, 2024. To ensure gifts bought for others can be pre-bought & are still able for exchange/return after the holidays. Returned hat(s) must be received in our Studio by January 31st. Please follow the instructions on the return form sent with your order.

Regular priced items: Items returned unworn, with tags attached and with original receipt within 14 days of receiving your order are eligible for a full refund of the original payment or can be returned for exchange/store credit up to 30 days.

Sale & Clearance items: All sale & clearance items are FINAL SALE.

Custom or altered items: Custom orders, re-cuts and any altered items are FINAL SALE and therefore not refundable. We will make one complimentary adjustment for correct fit on special order items.
